SWEET CHILLI POPCORN
100g (½ cup) popcorn kernals
20g (¾ oz.) coconut oil
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon chilli powder
1 large pinch of salt
Preheat fan oven to 125°C (gas mark 1 / 275°F)
Now make the pop corn.
If using a pop corn machine: pop the popcorn kernels according to the machine instructions. Pop 100g (½ cup) of plain popcorn kernels.
If using a microwave: pour 100g (½ cup) popcorn kernels into a large glass bowl, cover with a vented lid. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes. When there is a 2 second gap between each pop, the popcorn is done.
Melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan and add the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne powder, chilli powder and the the Modern Nature Liquid Stevia Drops Sweetener - Unflavoured. Check the taste, for extra spice add another ¼ tsp of cayenne and chilli powder, for add sweetness add another ¼ tsp of Modern Nature Liquid Stevia.
Pour the sweet chilli glaze over the popcorn and toss through using your hands to thoroughly cost all the popcorn.
Pour onto the baking tray and bake for 15 - 20 minutes. This will give the popcorn a great crunch.
Take the popcorn out of the oven and finish off by sprinkling over the pinch of salt.
